Joe’s Rules for Life #1

Don’t be like Everyone Else (Because Everyone Else Sucks)

Do you ever look at the people around you and think that they have it all figured out?

Neither does Joe.

Nearly every person out there is a walking disaster. Take an average guy, let’s call him Norm. Norm is a hamster in a wheel. He may be scrambling like mad, or he may be a lazy bum. Either way, Norm isn’t going anywhere. Norm’s life is one disappointment after another. It’s a sad state of affairs.

You may be saying, “But Joe, that sounds like me!” If that’s the case, well, that’s a bummer. But do not despair. If you stop thinking like Norm and start thinking like Joe, you can prevent any further damage, turn your miserable existence around, and start winning.

If Norm is feeling bold, he might say that it’s better to ask forgiveness than to ask permission. Norm is an idiot. Don’t ask their permission. Don’t ask their forgiveness. Don’t give them the time of day. Don’t listen to them. Their rules suck. Don’t play by their rules. Play by your own rules.

Or better yet, keep reading Joe’s Rules for Life.

Thank you for asking, Andy. It’s clear from your question that you will need extra guidance. Please stay tuned for the rest of this series, and we can arrange 1-on-1 coaching if you are still struggling.

      1. In the spirit of playing by my own rules, I will only read every 3rd post in the series. And I will only take guidance provided on the second Tuesday of the month with a date that ends in an even number.
